JAM ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE HAVE BEEN APPOINTED
THE 'OFFICIAL' SUPPLIER OF PARKOUR AND FREERUNNING CONTENT
FOR VIRGIN MEDIA.
We have all become very used to watching Parkour
videos on platforms like YouTube. Small screens, pixelated
images, waiting for files to download.
Well things are just about to dramatically improve!
Virgin
have recently launched Virgin Media.
"We're the first people in the UK to offer TV,
Broadband, Phone and Mobile - all from one place. The
future is bursting with fresh entertainment and communication
possibilities".
Part
of the Virgin Media package is Virgin Media Video, a
free service that allows you to sample and appreciate
the quality of broadband TV on your computer or through
your TV via a set-top box.
This
is where Worldwide JAM steps in. We've been invited
by Virgin Media to find Parkour content from filmmakers
around the world.
Our first offering is from award winning producer Stephen
Follows. Its from his new DVD 'Parkour Journeys' and
features Daniel Ilabaca in profile.
If you are a filmmaker and have good quality Parkour
content that you would like to share with the world
on Virgin Media, scroll down.

TO
FILMMAKERS
If you are a Parkour or FreeRun filmmaker, we want to
hear from you. We have a unique two-way-street opportunity
that enables filmmakers to promote themselves and get
their work broadcast on one of the worlds biggest media
platforms.
For those of you who are concerned about capitalising
on Parkour, let's get the money side of things out of
the way first. Worldwide JAM do not profit from content
broadcast on Virgin Media. Virgin Media Video is a free
service, testing the market to see if there is an audience.
Of course Virgin Media are providing this opportunity
so they can sign people up to their services, if there's
an audience there's potential customers. What Virgin Media
are offering us all however is equally as valuable.
The opportunity of watching Parkour content with unparalleled
broadcast quality. If you want to stick with YouTube,
that's fine, all we're doing is creating an alternative.
|
Our objective is to promote Parkour, the filmmakers and
Worldwide JAM. With the help of leading participants of
Parkour we'll be able to use the platform to educate the
masses about what Parkour is, what it isn't, what's the
difference between Parkour and FreeRunning, the origins
and history.
Use it or lose it!
Like Worldwide JAM, it's only going to work if the Parkour
community gets behind the project. All we have done is
kick open the door of new potential.
Our plan for the future is to include as many talented
filmmakers as possible from around the world and let as
many people share in this experience.
If you are interested in getting involved, send us an
email at films@worldwidejam.tv |
